IT ALL BEGAN WITH AMANDA.

My name is Carola, and this story begins with Amanda.

Amanda is far more than the muse behind Madreperla Pets. She is my companion in life—the presence that made me understand even more deeply just how extraordinary the bond between a person and their dog can be.

Anyone who shares their life with a dog knows how naturally their presence becomes part of the simplest moments: morning walks, journeys, everyday rituals and those occasions that, almost without us realising it, become cherished memories. Even the objects we choose for them become part of that story.

Madreperla Pets was born from a deeply personal desire: to find accessories for Amanda that reflected my love of fashion and beautifully made things, while also being comfortable, functional and designed to last.

I have always been drawn to beautiful materials, colour and that understated Milanese elegance that commands attention without ever needing to be ostentatious. For Amanda, I wanted accessories created with the same care I would expect from an authentic piece of Italian leather craftsmanship.

It was from this simple yet profoundly personal desire that Madreperla Pets took shape.

Alongside my story with Amanda is another, equally important one: a tradition rooted in craftsmanship and leatherworking, whose origins date back to 1970.

True quality does not need to be proclaimed. It reveals itself in the choice of material, the precision of a stitch, the balance of proportions and the care devoted to even the smallest detail.

Madreperla Pets brings this heritage of expertise into the world of dog accessories.

Every collection takes shape in Milan, beginning with a sketch, the search for a particular colour or the feel of leather between the hands. Italian leathers and hardware are carefully selected and entrusted to skilled artisans, who cut, stitch, assemble and finish every creation with experience and precision.

The time devoted to each piece is not simply part of the process—it is part of its value.

To me, luxury is neither excess nor mere appearance. It is care, expertise and beauty made to endure.

Our accessories are not designed to remain tucked away in a drawer. They are made to be lived in: on a walk through the city, during a day spent together, while travelling or throughout the many moments that make up everyday life.

To this day, Amanda remains the first inspiration and the most sincere point of reference behind every new creation.

Whenever I develop a new design, choose a colour or consider a detail, I return to the same questions: would I choose it for her? Would it be comfortable? Could it truly accompany her through everyday life?

It is this same care that I want every Madreperla Pets customer to experience.

The brand has grown, and our creations have found their way to dogs and their owners in many different countries, but I never want it to lose its personal soul. Behind every order, I do not simply see a purchase: I see a dog with a name, individual habits and a unique personality, alongside someone who knows and loves them deeply.

This is Madreperla Pets: where fashion, Italian craftsmanship and a love for animals come together. A story that began with Amanda and continues through every dog who wears one of our creations.
